Going strong - we’ve officially reached 2 months since I started this newsletter journey. Quick overview of progress so far:
We’re at 1,329 subscribers. Growth has been constant with 2 significant spikes from the Romanian community (#represent) - a mention in the Concentrat newsletter (for Romanian speakers, I really recommend subscribing here) and one in Monica Jitariuc’s “People looking forward” series (here).

But enough about recapping things. Here are a few thoughts that kept me up at night:
I’ve rarely seen people who truly know they’re the shit get mad or hate on a topic. They’ll comment on the state of things, sure, but it’s more in an observational, lighthearted (even humorous) approach rather than really pouring their heart into it.
Perhaps you need to disengage in order to really get ahead.
Most people I know who complain that they’re swamped/busy have the work ethic of a meerkat. 9 out of 10 times, they’d be able to get things done in half the time if they organized themselves better (which isn’t as easy as it sounds, I acknowledge that, but at least put in the effort).
We still love the smoke & mirror show. If you’re in the world of advertising, the latest company imploding because of its own bullshit is called Ozy and the story is mind boggling - everything from impersonating a YouTube exec in a call with Goldman Sachs to straight up lying about performance numbers.
The problem is, this tactic still works on a lot of educated people. Kickstarter frauds seem to be on the rise because people want to believe. And there’s plenty of magicians out there who will put on a show good enough that will make you jump in on the action.
