This is an update email - if you’re looking for a lateral thinking puzzle, wait for the next email. If you’re curious as to where this newsletter is going (and read about business), read on.
These past few weeks have been insane. I know I missed sending a couple of emails (for reference, this is the 75th daily newsletter I’m sending - so we had a good daily run), which I apologize for.
As some of you might know, I live in New York and manage marketing for the business I co-founded, TPS Engage.
As any startup, it has ups and downs. The past 6 months, however, have literally shot us to the moon.
From working on Snoop Dogg’s 4/20 album release to launching dozen of crypto campaigns, working with the amazing people at Morning Brew, the creative legends at MSCHF, taking over Times Square for NFT.NYC, launching a Monster campaign in Germany, a GoDaddy one in the UK, Serbia and Romania, plus many more unannounced things, time has been short.
Last week, we were swamped with Kanye West’s (Ye’s) Donda Deluxe album launch in 5 countries, which basically all happened in less than 48 hours. Here’s a picture I proudly took in Times Square last night where he made a surprise appearance.
A few years ago, our software was connected to 2 billboards in Romania. Today, it’s opening up access to +300k digital billboards all over the world and we’re running campaigns for Kanye West.
I still think I’m having a fever dream.
To summarize and take lessons from some of my lateral thinking emails, I need to pick my battles.
Right now, sending a daily newsletter, as much as I enjoy it, is not something sustainable and not a battle that I can win.
I’ll most likely switch to sending 1 or 2 newsletters per week.
We’ll probably cover multiple exercises in a single email & have some guest writers on (which I’ve been postponing for a while anyway).
The plan is to send one on Monday and one on Friday, but we’ll see what ends up happening.
There’s about 1.900 people subscribed to this email and 1.500 of you constantly open and read them, I’m still floored by the support.
Thank you all for motivating me to keep going with this and constantly engaging (either directly or indirectly) on the topic.
I plan to keep this newsletter going for a long time, even if we have to shift its form a couple of times - because as we all know, the only constant thing is that things change.
I really love your newsletter! If I skip an article during the week, the first thing I'll do on Saturday morning is to read all articles of that week. Whatever you will decide about this newsletter, it will be a pleasure reading from you!
Congrats!👏
